We have 6 Liquid Amber and 5 Oak trees to plant in the corner of the big field beside the play areas this Sunday. They will give a beautiful display in Autumns to come and improve the bio diversity of that corner by providing habitat for insects and birds. We would love to have your help in planting them. Please come along if you can, wearing clothes suitable for working and for the weather and strong flat soled shoes, preferably with a reinforced toe. We will meet in the Dukes Meadows Community Centre Car Park in Alexandra Gardens at 11am. The Community Centre is beside where the Food Market is held. We will be planting the trees in the corner of the field between Riverside Drive and the allotments. Children, accompanied and supervised by an adult, are very welcome . All tools and equipment will be provided and a briefing on how to plant a tree. Look forward to seeing you. Best wishes |
