| Maurice, I can assure you that all it takes to get all the subscriber info you need from any bt exchance or mobile phone operator is a request to the operator, and sometimes (and this is only if the exchange operator asks for it)is a form held by the supervisor at the police control room which is signed by a superintendent and states the subscriber information is needed to prevent possible injury or loss of life.At NSY these requests would usually be made about 10-20 times per shift.No charges were ever incurred and certainly not £40,000 It used to cost £30 every time we needed an inrepreter on the line |
