I know I sound like a broken record but the police's lack of geographical knowledge has led to yet another report (ITV) which incorrectly states: "Four women have been attacked in Chiswick and Ealing over the last month. Police believe the same man is responsible." And goes on to repeat the police error: "The third attack was carried out the same day in Kingscote Road, Ealing on a 52-year-old woman who was walking with her daughter." For the few who haven't read the other threads on these incidents, while Kingscote Road is in the borough of Ealing, it is very much in Chiswick. So all four attacks were in Chiswick. Fishers Lane, Chiswick is in both the borough of Hounslow and, at the northern end, the borough of Ealing. The Kingscote Road error is as misleading as stating: Fishers Lane, Hounslow. Or: Fishers Lane, Ealing. |
