I know I keep pointing this out, but it's worth actually looking at what's planned for London council finances over the next few years, particularly when Conservative councillors get on their high horses over trivialities like Christmas lights.  We'll be lucky to have any lights at all if this lot carry on:

So, cut everything not legally required, raise council tax or charge through the nose for services (such as parking).  Your choice, but don't pretend there's a magic way out.
