Sorry Gerry total missed your response. No we don't do 'background' checks, we tend to invite an older person from a local church or a pensioner's luncheon club who the organisers know will be on their own. We 'ply' them with copious amounts of food and drink, swap anecdotes and buy them a small gift (maybe choccies). Adds to our day and, hopefully, to theirs. |
