A friend of mine has written an essay in which she has used a quotation from Aristotle: 'The ultimate value of life depends on awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival.' What she's been unable to track down is where in Aristotle's writing it comes from, so that she can provide a full reference for the quotation. In Google, she got lots of hits, but all they said was that Aristotle wrote it. Do any of Chiswick's classical scholars know which of Aristotle's books it's from, or a site that could provide that information? Ευχαριστούμε πολύ. |
