I don't think the headline is entirely original but very funny nonetheless. It is a very 21st century way for the police to get revenge on someone for assaulting one of their colleagues. A couple of decades ago if an officer had been injured in the course of detaining a suspect the rest of the squad would have exacted a physical retribution. Now they brief the press with embarrassing details about the criminal - not sure which outcome Mr. Mash would have preferred! |
