We went for one based on friends having them and being impressed. One thing we noticed, and liked, was the weight of the Isla bike seemed much lower than some comparables - ie much easier for a 6year old to get on with.
Final thought, check eBay etc. I think there is a healthy second hand market in them. So when you need to scale up, maybe you re-coup some of the premium. I guess we'll find out as about to go through that process ourselves.
