| If you don't like plastic (and I'm not a fan), you can get wooden sash windows that have powder-coated aluminium outer coatings - we put them in to our loft conversion. We got ours from Marvin Architectural (in Brentford, but an American company), and they slide and tilt inwards or come out easily for cleaning the outside for windows you can't easily get at. We've also got bug screens for them, which means we can leave them open in summer without any flies coming in. David |
