If rat-running isn't the issue why's the area generating so much outgoing traffic? It's a good part of the issue, I'm sure, given the lack of alternative routes in the area. "The volume of traffic on the road leading up to Kew Bridge and (just as importantly) trying to get off the south side of the bridge is the problem." Given that it's a major cross-river artery, how do you propose to reduce the volume of traffic? Tolling the bridge would work nicely. Alternatively, a nice yellow box junction at the end of SHG and some traffic signals and enforcement cameras would at least make it a bit easier to get out, but for some reason they tend to annoy the people they're intended to help. |
