The policy of LBH is to increase recycling rates and reduce the proportion of rubbish sent to landfill. In 2010 - 35% of Hounslow's rubbish was recycled. A newly elected Labour administration said that "things could only get better" and that they would aim to make significant improvements as promised in their manifesto. In 2014 - 35 % of Hounslow's rubbish was recycled. It's not what they say, its what they do (or rather do not do). |
