Please come clean LBH - what exactly is your long term policy on rubbish and recycling?

I can't find it, but somewhere I read that incineration of rubbish, and I think that included a lot of things we currently sort for recycling, was becoming much more acceptable under EU rules and regs.   Stuff sent for disposal this way reduced the amount of landfill and thus reduced the landfill charges imposed.

Is our Council now wanting us to stop recycling and dump everything into these bloody Wheelie Bins so the contents can be sent off to the incinerators?   LBH's aim may be to replace weekly collections to two collections a month.   Then we'll all need the really HUGE Wheelies - perish the thought!   What to do with the mountain of unwanted Green Boxes, Blue, White, and Green sacks and our dustbins?
