Sunday’s market day!

If you haven’t turned the page on your calendar yet, don’t be caught on the hop – November will be here before you know it, which means that a great variety of 38 stalls will be selling their wares in the village come Sunday – for the full list click here.

All your favourite food suppliers will be with us and we’re especially happy to welcome back Avlaki, purveyors of the most luscious organic olive oils, Madame Macaroon’s stall full of tempting treats, Love By Cake with their enchanting pixie-sized petit fours, and The Kettle Shed’s superb range of loose-leaf teas.

Winterbourne Game tell us that as well as venison and all the seasonal game birds they’ll be selling wild boar (genuine, not farmed) and also cooking street food with a delicious difference – wild boar burgers! (btw. you'll find their stall outside Tesco's)

As it’s beginning to look a bit like Christmas, how about browsing the craft stalls for really unusual gifts? For children there’ll be the nicest Norwegian knits at Handmade by Hilde and cool clothes in retro fabrics at Cyd & Emma; at Atelier Chokerbali and Louise’s Jewellery you’ll find very wantable wearables; plus terrific textile presents from Charlie Bale, studio pottery from Kszallas Ceramics, recycled candles from JRE Crafts and tree treasures (which can be personalised) from Board ‘n’ Bread.

Also at KVM’s own stall we’ll be selling Caroline Blomfield’s beautiful Christmas cards of Kew scenes, plus of course what we think is the best possible gift – Kew Village Market Cookbook! Solve all your present problems by buying lots of copies and you’ll also be giving to local good causes – all the profits are donated to charity.

And we’re delighted to welcome singer and guitarist Elaine Samuels, who’ll be here to entertain us with her rich repertoire ranging from folk to blues and intriguing self-penned songs.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 2nd November from 10am to 2pm!
