Glad it's gone. I don't mind what else it becomes as long as not another betting shop, ice cream parlour, coffee shop or estate agent. A min-Woolworth type shop would be good, I miss that. Wish we could have a department store, now that a cinema is coming that is the only thing that Chiswick really lacks, but not sure where it would go. A nice jewellery shop that does reasonable watch repairs (as opposed to the one on the High Road) would do well, I think. And more cinemas and a bigger theatre, please. Something like Richmond Theatre or the Orange Tree would be wonderful. |
