Why can't they create different sized wheelie bins, so you can opt for a smaller one if you don't create that much rubbish? The suspicious part of me suspects that the reason we'll get larger ones with excess capacity is in preparation for collections every two weeks, instead of weekly. Otherwise won't the council end up with a much larger wages bill than currently, as it will surely take more time to mechanically load up the contents of wheelie bins than it currently does to throw black bags into the back of the truck?
