Why not take responsibility for your own actions? Start your waste reduction at home, before going to the supermarket. After that, your civic obligations should be much easier. Separate everything properly and do as your councils ask. One of the biggest financial problems councils have deal with is the continued cost of pensions from decades of inefficient methods and staff numbers for council services. I would like to see councils go even further with cost reductions and force people to take their refuse to communal collection points as many other countries do. Expecting someone else to risk their health and sort through your filth because you find it inconvenient is absolutely disgusting. |
