As others have said proper communication between the relevant organisations always seems to be in short supply in the vast majority of the cases that have been shown. Some of the cases though are really silly, like the woman on this week's programme who hadn't paid an apprentice the minimum wage and knew she was completely in the wrong but wanted to wind her the poor apprentice's mother. Perhaps lacking in humility, but I also have no sympathy for the youngish couple who were evicted this week who already had 5 kids, he worked she didn't, their rent was fully paid by housing benefit (they were being evicted due to a system failure regarding the benefit payments) and presumably they received a small fortune in child benefits and had a big modern TV, both had smart phones/tables etc. Effectively they were clearly mainly reliant on the state to fund their lives, and the woman was pregnant again, which begged the question whether they were having kids purely to exploit the welfare state/system. If they'd only have had 1 kid they might not have needed any support from the state whatsoever...where does one draw the line ?. |
