Sadly some more poorly written articles.

Other entymologists ahve found less draw from LEDs than other current luminaires - and as the LEDs do not have a heat output they do not kill the insects.

Midges swarming around a lampost - is that bad?

And the new scientist is getting poor - GLARE cannot shine through a window - it is a measure of the ratio of luminance between the task and the glare source - so a poor use of the wording, which makes the rest of what he writes kind of less credible.

I completely agree with the shielding and dimming - but if only an article would discuss this point without the rest of the rubbish!
