We may well be arguing the same legal point Chris (I am not a lawyer or versed by experience in this area of law) but the same scene gets played out in the cases on the TV programme which I have seen. This is that the tenants often hold documents which show their case is still being argued legally but the eviction notice the bailiffs turn up with is for immediate execution and overrides the other legal documents and arguments. The feeling you get is a distinction exists between County and High Court Orders so people can jump between the two systems to get a quicker result? The 48 hours rule you suggest does not seem to exist per what one sees on the TV show and the law one would assume exists that way to stop tenants doing damage, stealing etc in departing? |
