Last year, being a light sleeper I heard some unusual noises outside about 3 am and looked out to see two guys going up the street, initially having a good look at some scaffolding on one of the houses opposite and going up to it and tapping it - I thought, what shall I do if they start climbing up it and found my phone, ready to dial the police if they did. They didn't but then proceeded up the street hacking at what seemed like drain covers, making a lot of noise, but no one else seemed to notice. All I can think is that they were (maybe on some kind of high) looking for metal to steal. |
