Julian you have been very economical with the truth and slanted it to suit your rather perverse thinking. You were asked if you were aware of the redevelopment as the purpose of handing out the leaflets was to raise awareness of what is proposed for Essex Place and Empire House. There was no 'i am not sure if'. You were told that CHRAG was not against redevelopment of the area but the problem lay with the density and overdevelopment of the site. In addition you were not asked to sign up but to go to the website to see the drawings and plans so that you could make your own judgment and then to complete the survey in order that CHRAG could gauge the acceptance or otherwise of this redevelopment. The majority of the people accepting a leaflet were totally unaware of the location or the redevelopment. No attempt was made to persuade or coerce anyone one way or the other. To finish with 'sorry but there we go' is by way of raising 2 fingers. What are you sorry about - the fact that you have a different view? You are entitled to your views but there could well be others who disagree with you, that is if they are allowed to. The fact that you did not identify yourself at the time nor to ask 'the Lady' who she was or to engage in a meaningful discussion says much about you instead you chose to rush back to your computer! |
