Jim, there are not two speed cameras on the same side.On the Eastbound carriageway, there are two cameras. The first, at the traffic lights just before the junction is a red light camera. The second one situated alongside the crossing situated just after the junction is a speed camera. This is a dreadful junction where there have been many deaths over the years. Some years back, a military Landrover attempted to do a U turn on the A4 Eastbound carriageway to go back towards Heathrow on the Westbound carriageway. The Landrover was struck by a Heathrow bound coach travelling at speed which resulted in the deaths of (I can't remember whether it was) 3 or 5 soldiers. |
