John For future ref when you uninstall something it may show as the programme has gone from your pc but not all folders and files associated with that programme are removed. For browsers it is good to back up your favourites to somewhere on your PC then uninstall the browser. Once uninstalled go to the firefox file in C:programmes and delete. Then if you run say CCleaner to clean registry files everything associated will be removed. This way when you reinstall nothing previously associated will show up so therefore you get a clean install before adding your favourites back. Always remember that on a PC in general uninstalling a programme in add and remove does not remove everything associated with what your uninstalling. |
