It was a lovely cosy place.  When I first moved to Chiswick many years ago and had a tiny flat in Duke Road I did an evening stint there a couple of nights a week as a barmaid for a while to make ends meet.  Gave up when they suggested paying me in wine instead of money - at that stage in my life money was more important than wine!
