We live in Grove Park and there are quite a lot of underground rivers in the area as we are right next to a river. One of these roughly follows the line from St Michael's Church on Elmwood Road, then goes under Sutton Court and along Chesterfield Road. A walk along the river at low tide will reveal a number of little streams coming out of pipes into the river. It may be that there is one of these near your property. I think that tanking cellars can work, although I am no expert! |
