As I've said before to me the idea of regularly going to the pub to watch sport represents a social relic and will never make for a successful business model nowadays.  I'm sat here at home with a choice of all 8 other european games on Sky, the England game on ITV, and the darts on Sky (you can tell my other half is away !), all of which I can flick between as I please, which I could never do in a pub, I don't have to buy food or drink, and if I want mates around I can pick up the phone.

20 years ago when many homes didn't have satellite TV people did go to the pub regularly to watch sport, but not any more.
