Stuart is spot-on.
We were very disappointed with Simpsons recently - stone cold Yorkshires plonked on our plates with luke warm beef.
  
Rules has recovered from a dodgy period in the early noughties to become the go-to English restaurant in central London again. It also offers super private rooms upstairs for family celebrations/large parties.
