Be warned Adrian.. Simpson's (though still quite good) ain't nowhere near what it was – and is exceptionally over-priced – especially their vino. I far prefer Rules – which is yonks prettier (more beautiful) that Simpson's and soaked in far more London history. It's the real London/English dining experience for foreigners x ten. They do our traditional beef & lamb dishes - but a bit more refined than yer average gastropub “trad roast”. They also do fantastic game for those (like me) who prefer..... Also, I've done both recently and I'm bloody sure Rules is the better deal pricewise... |
