London Welsh and London Irish pro teams still are based at the Old Deer Park and Sunbury and this will provide funds for the amateur sides. Saracens are based at the Old Albanians club so in all cases there is a symbiosis between professional and amateur rugby. You could argue that a larger proportion of the money going to the professional game should go to the amateurs - particularly minis, youth and ladies but what does arrive is better than nothing. Professionalising the sport has been largely positive for rugby at the grass roots.

Wasps without the pros will be left with some excellent playing facilities but no revenue stream from the professional club and a tiny bar which means that food and beverage income will be minimal. QPR could maybe take over the facility if their Warren Farm plan fails but that would be a the cost of a reduction in the space available for rugby.
