| Trudy - as a long standing resident of grove park in a number of locations, It is a fair observation that one size does not fit all. If one lives in Whitehall gardens the experience of the impact of commuter parking is entirely different to that for residents in Park Road. If one casts the net of consultation wide enough of course it will deliver a different response to a more narrow exercise. I do not have a drive, nor three cars, and so do not fit the characterisation that has been applied to those in support of the CPZ. The CPZ by Chiswick station has dramatically improved things for residents who live close by. Previously parking was impossible and on occasion dangerous. I don't mind parking around the corner at all, but was often forced to park 5-600m away because of commuters or those leaving their cars whilst on holiday. It has not been imposed, it was requested. I suppose the point of democracy is that it may not always deliver the outcomes that everyone seeks. But that is democracy. Ask Nick Clegg. It would be nice it we could all get along a little better rather than send quite aggressive and often personal attacks. I suspect you are a nice person too really! |
