"Some streets want CPZs and others do not." Mr Highley, as you know, this is in direct contravention to the clear LBH policy that was on their website until Cllr Mayne decided to push a CPZ into two roads. So your view is that if one road wants CPZ, they should be able to have it even if all the neighbouring roads don't want it. So let me ask you. What if I want a CPZ just outside my house? Is that OK? According to your logic it should be. Everyone in my house wants it, so why can't we have it? Or what if one street wanted to drive on the right? Nobody else has to do it, why should it affect them? On the basis of your position, if we want it we should have it. That seems to be your idea of democracy. |
