It's all down to the original companies who created these foods being gobbled up by large international companies. These firms then alter the recipes to make them palatable to the largest number of different nations - usually this involved adding sugar amongst changing other ingredients. I have looked at my Marmite jar, there's no XO on it, and yes it is runnier than it used to be and I get through the jar faster meaning I use more of it to get the flavour - good for business! Where do you find the XO jars? |
