Owen are you a resident of Grove Park, do you actually live in Chiswick or are you a 'plant'? How can you possibly say:- "The Council has acted impeccably on CPZs? That's utter nonsense. When all this started, the LBH website on CPZ policy stated:- "We will not implement a CPZ into one or two roads for the simple reason that all this does is to displace the problems into neighbouring roads. it does not solve the underlying problem. WE WILL ONLY IMPLEMENT A CPZ ON AN AREA-WIDE BASIS OR NOT AT ALL." That was what they said and it couldn't be clearer. That CPZ declaration was only removed by the then Lead Cllr (whose parental home was in Park Rd) when it became very apparent the only way to get CPZ into Grove Park was to start with one or two roads, so what did they do? THAT CPZ SECTION WAS QUIETLY REMOVED FROM THEIR WEBSITE and they now deny it was ever there. "..... the Council’s CPZ Policy document is a promise and the Borough’s residents have a 'legitimate expectation’ that it will carefully follow its own policies and procedures before a decision on whether or not to implement a CPZ." How naive can you get - that paragraph is a complete lie - the Council fiddled it and changed the rules to suit their own objectives and sod the residents! Democracy was sent to hell and you want to praise the Council???? Not just naive but nuts too. |
