Well according to the desk officer at Chiswick Police Station, they're not! Same response to the found Audi keys from a few days ago. I don't think they've read their own guidelines, just heard that (some) Lost Property is no longer their responsibility and assumed that means ALL lost property. I'll give the barcode reader a go, cheers! Even if they don't pass on contact details, they might agree to contact them for me... Otherwise I'll take them BACK to the police station with a copy of the guidelines and leave it to them ;-) |
