Depends if its a RF or RFID label, an RF label is just a security label that breaks a frequency when taken out of the store past the security pedestals. I think M&S use a variant of this called Acousto-magnetic, which vibrates at a certain frequency causing the alarm to go off. If its RFID the chip will include data of the product that its attached to, and is used as a means to stock control, the strips act as an aerial. |
