Whether or not you'll need PP (assuming you're only proposing a rear roof extension not facing a highway) firstly depends upon the volume of your existing roof extension, as for a terraced house the roof can be extended by up to 40 cubic metres under permitted development rights. Secondly the new extension would need to be set in from the edge of the roof by 20 centimetres. I'd advise reading the technical guidance note for Class B extensions on the planning portal website, I would include the link but currently sunning myself in the Algarve and can't remember how to paste a link... |
