I used a spray on de-icer for the first time a couple of weeks ago on my very heavily frosted up freezer. It worked a treat, no mess at all. Turn off the freezer, chip off as much loose ice as poss. into washing up bowl. Next spray interior and wait 2 or 3 mins. and chip off now loosened ice into bowl, repeat until all ice has gone. I didn't get a single puddle on the floor, didn't even need a towel, just one cloth to wipe over the interior, the de-icer and the ice scraper provided with the freezer but a flat wooden kitchen scraper works fine. |
