It should help to stop them ripening even further BUT the skin will probably go black. NEVER MIND - just because the skin has gone all black doesn't mean that the banana is inedible. You need to peel the banana first to find out! It may not be over-ripe at all. Be brave enough to change your habits and try and find out for yourself. I'll drink bananas whizzed up with UHT milk (you can't taste whether it is or isn't when flavoured - keep the fresh milk for tea) when they are far riper than I would if I just wanted to eat a piece of fruit. http://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/fridge-freezer-superheroes-reducing-food-waste/ |
