For any transport geeks out there, TfL has just announced a consultation for a proposed new Overground station at Old Oak Common to be built in 202-something (not sure of proposed dates...) This would provide an interchange between the Overground service, Crossrail and HS2 (assuming HS2 gets built). From a W4 perspective, this would provide better connections into and out of London from the Overground stations at Gunnersbury and South Acton. For example, it could take about 30 minutes from Gunnersbury to Canary Wharf depending on timetabling. Old Oak Common station would be between Acton Central and Willesden Junction and this is part of a proposed major new office and residential development in this area. https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/london-overground/old-oak-common |
