The Welsh have voted on Devolution under a referendum in March 2011, the vote being that instead of the full breakaway Scotland was planning, the Welsh Assembly could make laws in 20 areas identified without reference to UK Parliament. The percentage voting was 35% approx. and 63.5% voted "Yes". The reference to 16/17 year olds getting the vote was a factor in Scotland as most intended to vote "No" per opinion polls (if you still feel they are accurate barometers). Once the Three Stooges put their political bung on the table this week I suspect many of the "Don't Knows" were converted more easily to voting "No"- the whole mess does not show any of them as super competent (per earlier separate postings on the prior thread on this subject). At least with 85% turnout nobody can blame apathy for the final outcome. |
