Lynn Whitley's honey is delicious and it is true that locally produced honey is of benefit to hay fever sufferers. I don't suffer from hay fever but i do eat RAW honey and bee pollen as it is one of nature's wonder foods. But honey that has been processed and heated loses all its beneficial enzymes, vitamins and micronutrients. Mass produced honey is as bad as sugar and is a waste of money... Raw honey is pure, unpasteurised and unprocessed and has great healing benefits. I get mine from the Farmers Market (about £6 a jar), As Nature Intended (£4 a tube) or the health shop in TGT which sells honey from Richmond Park (but i am not sure if this is genuinely Raw or pasteurised).. sorry to preach but i am working on a book on nutrition and have made some startling discoveries.. |
