Have mixed feelings - the hatred he engendered in NI and his style of religion (not too different from what we see in the religious right in USA) plus treatment of his daughter left me cold.
His only saving attribute for me was once he started worrying about his legacy and history's view of him (especially after he failed to stop the Good Friday Agreement) he became a changed person and from an extremist became a force for good in working with long standing arch enemy McGuinness to get NI to the peaceful state we have today. |
