| Driving from the A316 to Sutton Court Road today, I was really upset to see that several magnificent chestnut trees have been savagedly hacked at. Lopped is too kind a word, they are totally disfigured with all their tree canopy removed and every branch cut back to the maintrunk; some trees have been sawn down to 2ft stumps. I drove through down Bolton Road so not sure how widespread this vandalism extends. Are LBH planning to replace the beautiful trees that have been sawn to stumps and why on earth such savage hacking of the others - hope it's not in preparation for their removal. I will look on the Hounslow website for any information. Perhaps local Riverside Councillors know or the Grove Park Group have been advised. |
