Personally, I don't think any of us know enough about this case to be slagging off the police and the medical authorities.  However, I do think it seems extremely heartless to deprive this small child of the comfort of his parents at such a critical time of his possibly very short life.

Surely not one of the people making this decision can be doing so without a really watertight, concrete reason and deep concern for this child's safety and life.   Why doesn't one of them come clean and give an explanation of this heartless action?   At the moment they are antagonising the entire population of Britain (and possibly much of Europe too if they've heard about this child's plight).
