I would have thought that if you had paid the Royal Mail for a redirection service and as a result of their failure to provide the service paid for you ended up out of pocket, you would have a prima facie claim against them for the loss suffered. No doubt they have something in the small print to protect them from such claims. I appreciate John's son did not pay the Royal Mail for a redirection service so that doesn't apply here, but it would be interesting to try asking Royal Mail for compensation if the same scenario arose as a result of their failures. |
