Joking aside, isn't that a simple reality wherever you live ? - i.e. that from time to time highway structures will need modernising or upgrading to be able to withstand the pressures they are now subject to (which in the majority of cases were probably never envisaged at the time of construction). I don't like the resulting traffic chaos any more than the next person, but on the other hand part of me would like to think that such situations make people actually think about whether or not they really need to travel by private car, and if using public transport, cycling or walking would actually be quicker. |
