I've just had a taker for over 40 video tapes on Ealing Freegle. Local councils appear not to take them on for recycling. And I can find only one place in the whole country who will recycle them - in Bristol. They will recycle them free but one has to pay the cost of getting them there - perhaps worth it, rather than sending them to landfill, where they will sit forever. If councils could be persuaded to accept video and audio tapes, they could send them in bulk to Bristol. That is, if the company would take them on....
