His face seems familiar Pete. But 55 is young compared to some ha ha. Mother nature will tell us when we can't dance. There is no pre requisite that soul music is only for the young. We can all celebrate music and dance no matter what age. What I must say is I can't and won't attempt to do spins and back drops etc. They are for the experts! What I want to see is timing improvements and a synchronisation with the beat with a view to exploring technique for those individuals who often find it difficult to express themselves artistically. I know the music brings out an emotional response with me, so I want others to feel that emotion and be confident with just a basic step that they can take anywhere, on their own to explore at events or even at home. In addition most importantly, others may have a step they used to do or can come up with thats appropriate and looks and feels comfortable that we all could learn from. It's not about just me. I am far from perfect but......I did ballroom as a 12 year old and believe me a cha cha cha move in the middle of a good stomper looks and feels good. It's safe because its easy to do and helps with the timing and catching up if you've lost a beat somewhere (talk about taking it serious lol). Carl |
