George, is your MR slow cooker a Sear and Seal model, so you can use the metal pot on your hob? The model has good reviews. If you have a ceramic pot, you have to prepare ingredients in another pan. I've got a MR slow cooker, 3.5 litre capacity, with ceramic pot which is still going strong after 7 years. Two points you might want to consider on the best size for you. The actual 'working' capacity for the 3.5 litre model is 2.5 litres so that liquid is approximately 2cms below lid. Also, MR instruction manual recommends that the slow cooker must be at least half full for best results. |
