I've just bought my first ever slow cooker (not opened it) and wonder now if there is a big difference between a cheap and decent one. I bought the MR Oval Slow Cooker from Robert Dyas (their own brand was smaller and very cheap) but wonder as its made of metal if this will be any good. The pot inside is metal as is the slow cooker itself. Is a ceramic pot for one of these a better idea or essential? The one I've bought is 3.5 L - will it be ok for much smaller quantities or should I swap it for a smaller slow cooker. I won't be cooking large amounts each time for the most part. thanks for any advice |
